actually , i do not know this word before ,a few days ago ,i ask one of my friend ,majored in English,how to say "baozi" in english?
yet ,he had no idea ,so i think ,casue it's our chinese traditional food,there is no doubt we can call it straigtly it's chinese name "baozi",we have the right to name it i suppose ,cause we invented it .
in my opinion, in my memory i mean ,not that clearly I can remember ,it's a kind a little bread,rounded shaped bread with stuff usually sweet materials,was called this name ---bun.
so ,here you can see this ,it is not accurate to call our chinese traditional food "baozi " buns.
i hope ,when 2008,the olympic game was held in beijing city ,every peop from abroad can have the chance to taste our delicous ,creative chinese traditional food "baozi",and they gotta marvel at this i bet.at that time ,i think we should renamed it ,I ,want those westeners learn more from us ,i am proud to be a chinese ,though maybe i am not a patriotic man ,but i really really be pround to be a chinese man ,we faceing the world with no fear in our eyes,we feel no inferiority compare with those so call "deleloped countries",not a speck."we chinese people had stand up" ,as chairman Mao said in 1949 Tian'anMen square!
I think it's time for us to make those western people learn more from us ,let them respect us more ,from time to time ,we can see young boys and girls with dyed blone hair,wear Amenrican-like Jackets and a kind of loose-fitting ,stylish trousers which i do not know it's name.They call it fashion ,on the very contrary,a man in Zhongshan suits or Han dynasty costume ,is rarely seen today ,I was bewildered,is fashion eaqual to westernization (maybe there is no such a word i invented it , i am sorry )?
it's a topic needed all of us to consider about .
fashion should not be achieved through sacrificing our own clutures,the most precious things oour ancestors had handed to us , we should cherish those things so should our off-springs .Since our ancestors called them "baozi",i think we should call them "baozi",we do not care what the westerners call them ,if they call it's buns ,it's their own businesses,they have the rights to do so .Anyhow ,if they ask us ,we should tell them clearly and seriously it is called "baozi" and proudly ofcourse.trying to articulate every words to let them rember ,it's our patent.it's should be funny .
