1. steal the show 抢风头

也可用 steal the thunder 代替，不过steal the thunder 除了抢风头外，还有窃取他人创意或点子的意思。

泰勒-斯威夫特一出现在我的生日派对上就把风头都抢走了。

2. go nuts 要疯了

工作让人抓狂、消息让人疯掉等情景都可以使用，除了go nuts也可以用 go crazy。

3. suck it up 忍着点

工作不顺利、期末考难熬？suck it up 就是在鼓励人忍着点并撑过难关。

4. slap in the face 打脸

“打脸”一词其实很早就有了，今年特别流行，意思是找出别人的错事儿而使之丢脸出糗。

5. flattering photo 照骗

6. for dummies 懒人包

for dummies 平常不会单独使用，通常前面都会接一个主题，像是 English for dummies、Pregnancy for dummies 等等。这个词源自于 Hungry Minds 公司出版的自学或教学参考书籍，而第一本 for dummies 是在 1991年11月出版的 DOS for dummies。此系列的特色就是深入浅出，善于用图表介绍该领域知识，与懒人包的特性相符。

7. you’re so full of yourself 你少臭美了

8. caring/considerate guy 暖男

9. get up on the wrong side of the bed 起床气

这是用来形容一个人的行为突然令人无法接受或脾气突然变得很差，和中文的「起床气」有异曲同工之妙。

A: What’s wrong with her? She looks so mean today.
A: 她怎么了？今天看起来凶神恶煞。

B: Maybe she got up on the wrong side of the bed today.
B: 或许是她起床气还没消吧。

10. fat nerd 肥宅

“肥宅”在2014年突然开始大量流行，意思就是很肥的宅男。

11. negative energy 负能量

负能量爆棚，正能量满满，这些都是常挂在嘴边的话。负能量英文可以用negative energy，相反的就是正能量(positive energy)。

12. keep a low profile 低调

如果是形容一个人很低调，我们就可以用 keep a low profile。但如果是要讲某个事件是低调的，会用 low-key 来形容。

15. that’s ridiculous 太瞎了
