故事一：乌鸦和老狐狸--A Crow  and an Old Fox

One day a crow is sitting in a big tree. She has a big piece of meat in her mouth. An old fox is looking for his breakfast. He sees the crow, "Good morning, Mrs Crow! How are you? How are your babies?" But the crow doesn't say a word.
一天，一只乌鸦落在一棵大树上，她的嘴里叼着一些大块肉。一只老狐狸正在寻找早餐，他看见了乌鸦。“早上好，乌鸦太太！您好吗？您的孩子们都好吗？”但是乌鸦一声不吭。
　　

"You are very beautiful, Mrs Crow. And you have a beautiful voice, too,"says the fox."Will you please sing for me?"
“您很漂亮，乌鸦太太。您还有一副美丽的嗓子，”狐狸又说，“您愿意为我唱歌吗？”
　　

"How nice the fox is! I must sing for him," the crow thinks. She opens her mouth,"Caw, Caw!" The meat goes down into the fox's mouth.
“这只狐狸真好！我一定要为他唱首歌。”乌鸦这样想着。她就张开了嘴巴，”哇！哇！“那块肉掉进了狐狸的嘴巴。
　　

故事二：一只聪明的狗--A Clever Dog
　　

Peter has a clever dog. One day Peter says to his friend Jack, "My dog can buy news-papers if you give him money."
皮特有一只聪明的狗。一天，他对他的朋友杰克说：”如果你给我这只狗一些钱，它就能把报纸买回来。“
　　

Jack wants to make sure if it is true or not. So he gives the dog some money. The dog runs away quickly. An hour later, he still does not come back with the newspapers.
杰克想确定一下这是不是真的，就给了狗一些钱。那只狗飞快地跑了。可是过了一个小时，它还是没把报纸买回来。
　　

"How much do you give him?" asks Peter.
”你给了它多少钱？“
　　

"Five dillars."
”五美元。“
　　

"well,that's it. When you give him five dollars, he will go to the cinema."
”哦，这就对了，你了它五美元，它就会去看电影。“
