回家的正确打开方式：home习语知多少？
家，是世间最温暖的地方。提起关于home的英语歌，脑海里就有很多音乐旋律在回荡。就比如贾老板Justin Timberlake的《Five Hundred Miles》，歌词带着忧伤，听着就像走在旅行的路上。I'm three, Lord, I'm four, Lord三百里 四百里 再回不去 I'm five hundred miles away from home

1. 大家最了解home“家；家庭”这个名词含义，它衍生出来的习语挺多的。①home from home这个习语形容像家一样舒适的地方。The hotel was a real home from home.
那家宾馆真的像家里一样舒服。 ②be/feel at home这个习语比较常见，“感觉在家一样”也就是感觉自在，不拘束的意思。By the end of the week she was beginning to feel at home in her new job.
到一周快结束时，她开始对新工作感到适应了。
③make yourself at home这个习语多用于主人对客人说，“请随便，别拘束”，它和feel free意思相近，都表示“随意(做某事)”。Feel free to go where you like.

【敲黑板】home也有“故国，故乡”之意，比如思乡之情就翻译为homesickness：举头望明月，低头思故乡。

2. home也有副词用法，意思是“在家；回家，到家”。①be home and dry回到家，身上还是干的，这个习语的意思是“成功地完成”。We just have to finish this section, then we're home and dry.

②be home free这个习语也和成功相关，表示确信即将成功，胜利在望，也就是“胜券在握”的意思。Once you leave the main road and cross the bridge, you're home free - we live just three houses further on.
